LoveandBravery Social Class Dress - *My friend's piece is FOR SALE* ![]() Catwalkclose Floral Sweetheart Laced Back Top Catwalkclose Chiffon Highwaisted Skirt, Black M Megagamie River Island Inspired Eyelet Dress, Cream M ![]() Various dresses, tops, skirts... ![]() 1) Lollyrouge Archangel Divine Dress/ TheStyleDiary Elegant Work Dress with matching sash A really good buy, IMO! Material is quite good, thick and non-sheer. I saw the exact same piece selling at Far East for $69.90, tried it on to realize it fit well, and hence I grabbed this piece when I saw it online! =) 2) Swivelle Flutter-Sleeved Cami in Navy&Fushia Caved into temptation and bought this sweet number after seeing all the lovely reviews here. The navy and fuschia combi is really refreshing. Love this top. Perfect for casual weekends or hanging out at a friend's place. Only thing is that it's a tad low la. But I still love it! Twas my first time buying from Swivelle, and the ladies really impressed me with their customer service. I received the package the next day, there was a handwritten note attached, and they also followed up with an email to say they had posted out my item and attached a photo of my parcel. Thumbs up! 3) TSD Zara Inspired Pleated Corporate Blouson in Peach - *FOR SALE* The blouse is quite sheer on its own. It's actually a little big for me... but I can live with it since I don't have many long sleeved work tops. Am wearing it with the CWC high waist skirt + suspender straps. 4 - 6) BC Tiered Chiffon Blouse in Pop Pink - *FOR SALE* Pretty piece but the shade of pink is not so suitable for my skin tone, hence letting go. Catwalkclose Olivia Highwaisted Pencil Skirt (Navy), Size S Cutting is quite small for this skirt, I must say. Since it's quite high-waist, the suspender straps are too long for me, but that can be easily fixed with some re-sewing. Skirt is quite stretchy though, and I think it's pretty rare to find navy blue high waist skirts! I like that it's good for both casual and work wear! Various dresses... ![]() 1) Lolliepopbestie Lipsy Chiffon Frill Bandeau Dress (Mint) I was deciding between the Mint and the Pink, but decided to pick the Mint as I don't have anything in my wardrobe of that colour! I still think Mint looks a little strange on my dark skin tone, but I kinda like the design of the dress. The skirt is made of really thick and good quality satin while the top is made of pretty smooth chiffon. Oh, and I also like the fact that the dress has a ribbon tie at the back. 2) Foggiare Pleat Me Up Ruffles in Blush Black Bought this many months ago. Back then, I saw quite a few shops such as Lollyrouge selling this design (with skirt base in navy blue). Though the top part is very sheer (I was wearing a tube underneath) and the pleats on top are a headache to iron, I really like the design of the dress! It's a really nice, feminine and classy work dress. Something different from your everyday structured work dresses! Oh, but the waistband will be tight for waists bigger than 25.5" I think. But the back of the waist band is smocked, so over time, I think it can be stretched to accommodate bigger waists. 3) Pearlavish Zara Inspired Puff Sleeve Shift Dress (Black) I think this dress is really slimming! The pleats at the side are great for camouflaging the tummy and also gives more allowance for wider hips. Material is REALLY thick and good. However, for girls with bigger busts , I think the neckline is a little low for work, so it looks more decent with a tube haha. 4) Bonitochico Structured Tweed Dress, M Got this from a seller a few months ago. I took M as I need to cater to my bust size (M fits just nicely!), so the skirt portion has quite a bit of allowance. Though I think the cut of the dress doesn't really flatter my figure, I'm just keeping it coz it's a useful and simple work dress to have. It can be matched with many different belts too. This dress originally comes with a skinny black belt but I think a thicker one looks better. CATWALKCLOSE Printed Summer Ruffled Top (Purple) ![]() The colour of the top is true to CWC's pics, and the top is lightweight and not sheer. The prints are really pretty too. However, I find the bottom too flare such that the top only looks nice tucked in high waist. But even if you tuck in the top, there's quite a bit of allowance and excess cloth around the waist. So for UK8 and smaller girls, you're probably limited to wearing the top tucked in with high waist shorts/skirt. I tried it with a lower waist flared skirt, but it looked a little strange. In addition, I find that the purple does not really flatter my skin tone; will suit fairer girls better. You can visit Blogshop Buys to see my list of blogshop items for sale :-) Labels: reviews |
